Rugby Star Danny Cipriani Fined for Assault

England rugby star, Danny Cipriani, has been fined £2,000 or spend 10 weeks in prison for assaulting a female police officer in a Jersey nightclub.
The incident took place at the Royal Yacht Hotel and Spa, St Helier, during a bar row, leading to Danny inflicting bruises on the police.

Danny has been given a 7 day ultimatum to pay the fine- £500 for assault, £1500 for initially resisting arrest- along side £250 as compensation to the police officer.
The brawl occurred on a Gloucester Rugby preseason tour with members of the Gloucester team in attendance.

Danny currently plays for Premiership team Gloucester . He plays fly-half and fullback. He has played for the Melbourne Rebels, Sale Sharks, Wasps , and the England national team.
