Yesterday Abiodun Fatunmise, a 40-year-old man, appeared before an Ile-Ife Magistrates’ Court.
He was in court for allegedly murdering his 11 months old baby.
Abiodun was said to have allegedly strangled his daughter.
The incident occurring around Igboya area of Ile Ife, Osun state.
His plea before magistrate Olukunle Owolawi, fell on deaf ears as of the time he was arraigned.
Joseph Adebayo, who is the police prosecutor, confirmed that Abiodun murder the infant on May 6, earlier this month.
Adebayo stressing that, Fatunmise conspired with his friends who are still on the run to commit the murder.
This is contravening to sections 316, 319 (1) alongside 324 of the Criminal Code, Laws, Osun State 2002.
Owolawi refused the plea of Abiodun Fatunmise. Owolawi cited lack of jurisdiction to hear the case.
He thereby ordered the prosecutor to make duplicates the case file and forward them to the Directorate of Public Prosecutions for legal advice.
He further ordered that the accused remain in the Ile Ife Prison pending the outcome of legal advice on the case.
