Just about an hour back, a state high court section in Ungogo, Kano state, has nullified the appointment and the crowning of 4 Emirs by Abdullahi Ganduje, who is the governor of Kano state, declaring the act as illegal and inappropriate.

Nasiru Saminu, the presiding judge, today ordered a return to status quo.

This pending the court section of the suit leveled against the appointment of the emerging emirs.

Since May 10, the high court has tender an ex parte order stopping the Balkanisation of Kano emirate alongside the installation of emerging Emirs.

The Governor refused to heed to the order, going ahead to issue the appointment letters.

He furthermore, in addition, presented staff of office to the emerging emirs.

Rabiu Gwarzo, who is a member of the state assembly, had beforehand filed a suit.
