Medical doctors of the Lagos University Teaching hospital, have staged a protest over the death of their colleague, Dr Stephen Urueye, who was stabbed to death a day after his convocation.
Urueye was attacked by armed robbers on 2nd of April, him along Idi Araba road, opposite the hospital.
He was reportedly robbed off his belongings and stabbed at the same time. As at the time he was rushed to the hospital, he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Friends and colleagues have taken to social media to pay tributes to him and demand justice for him with the Hashtag #JusticeForStephen
His friend Gbenga wrote “These hoodlums at Idi-Araba have robbed and stolen from us for years now. Last night they killed one of us. They killed my friend. They need to be stopped please. #JusticeForStephen
