Robbers Invade Bank in Ondo, Kill 7

No less than 7 people have lost their lives in a commercial bank robbery which took place yesterday in Ido-Ani community in Ose local government area of Ondo state.

The armed bandits had invaded the bank which is the only commercial bank in Ido-Ani around 2:30pm, blowing up the security doors with dynamites before attacking staff and customers in the banking hall.

Amongst the people who were killed are 2 staff of the bank, 4 customers at the ATM stand and a police inspector.

However, the robbers who showed up in an SUV ran out of luck as they were confronted by men of the Nigerian Army while trying to escape with an undisclosed amount of money.

The army eventually succeeded in nabbing one of the robbers.

Some other persons were said to have sustained injuries during the attack and are currently receiving treatment at Ido-Ani General Hospital.
