Ace US singer and songwriter, Solána ‘SZA’ Rowe, now has ‘Amarachi Chinonso,’ as an adopted Nigerian name, on her Instagram page.
Rowe who recently performed at the Dreamville festival would henceforth prefer to be addressed by the Igbo name.
‘Amarachi’ in Igbo language means ‘God’s grace’ while Chinonso means ‘God is close.’
It seems the 28 year old songstress has an attraction for Nigeria’s culture and its people.
Rowe has bagged four Grammy nominations with her debut album ‘Ctrl’. The songwriter has written songs for award-winning artists Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj and Rihanna; and is also set to team up with Travis Scott and a host of artists for ‘The Throne’ a track inspired by ‘Game of Thrones, popular HBO series.
‘The Throne’ will feature popular artistes such as The Weeknd, Ty Dolla $ign, A$AP Rocky, Chloe X Halle, Ellie Goulding, Jacob Banks, James Arthur and Joey BadA$$.
